Health Promotion Officer
Primadee Academy’s Health Promotion Officer (HPO) course is a nationally
accredited, one-year programme that prepares students to promote
health and prevent illness in South African communities. Whether attending
in-person classes in Pretoria or studying online, students gain the
knowledge and practical skills to promote healthier lifestyles and refer
individuals for further medical care.
Course Overview :
Students are trained to provide basic health care services, such as taking
vital signs and identifying early signs of illness. You’ll learn how to assist with
immunisation, referrals, HIV testing and counselling, Antenatal care (ANC),
hygiene education and substance abuse awareness. The course combines
classroom learning with real-world experience in local clinics or community
centres.
